Care Packages for the Needy or Homeless - Pack of 10 kits

Like many people I don't regularly carry cash any longer. This tends to work pretty well the way our society is setup, but it can sometimes be disappointing when you run across an opportunity missed. One of those I regularly would encounter were instances in which i'd be approached by a person in need. I firmly believe in helping a person in need and honestly want to do it in the best way possible for that person. If you live by the golden rule and want to do unto others as you would have them do unto you, then you ought to be prepared, well I wasn't. I did some contemplation and began making small easy to carry care packages. I fit the items to meet the typical needs of people who may be living in a degraded situation or completely homeless. Along with carrying some water bottles and none perishable foods in my vehicle I began to carry these.
These kits are optimized to meet basic hygienic needs and are not of course all encompassing, but are a great gift to receive for someone in need. I am listing them so you too can give to others and make a difference in someones life. These items would cost alot more individually purchased so I purchase everything like a business or hotel in bulk and pack them in large Ziploc bags which surprisingly end up having many uses for those who receive them. Nothing here is luxury, but it is also not the lowest quality option. I am not making a dime off of this, any amount I make over the overhead goes directly back into purchasing these kits and others for people in need. I encourage you to go make a difference in someones life even if this is out of your ability to give, nothing is too little to give to the needy, even a simple bottle of water makes a huge difference in their lives. I should note that I was very selective in the approach to making this kit. I wanted everything to be something I personally would be willing and happy to use. So I put potential items to the test and rejected it if it wasn’t going to be useful and stand up to some hard use.
Nothing needs to be fancy when you are just trying to find your next meal, but that doesn’t mean you don’t want quality shampoo and soap, so here you’ll see something a step above what is usually provided. The tissues are 4-ply tissues and much more resilient to tearing. The toothbrush is full sized with a cap, not the cheapo ones that don’t fit properly in an adults hand. Probably my favorite item in the kit is the Medicated Lip Balm, I always carry some with me and it’d be hard to imagine life without it! Ibuprofen is included because sometimes you just need a little relief from your aches. The pocket comb might look cheap, but I put it to the test to make sure it doesn’t break even if you bend it in half! My wife tested one by raking it vigorously through her hair to make sure it was sturdy enough to comb long hair without breaking. Finally the nail clipper... let’s be honest, these are so easy to lose and so frustrating when you don’t have one, enough said.
